Links to Documents Referenced on page titled: ďMaterials Relating to Conduct of Attorneys in the Office of Independent Counsel Arlin M. Adams and Independent Counsel Larry D. Thompson in the Prosecution of Deborah Gore DeanĒ: Prosecutorial Misconduct in US v Dean
Materials relating to the placement of the Andrew Sankin Harvard Business School Application (the subject of Section B.7a of the Prosecutorial Misconduct page and the Introduction and Section D to the Bruce C. Swartz profile):
Available documents are listed below in chronological order according to date of creation.Where the document is already posted on this site, or is available on another site, a link is included.Letters are to James P. Scanlan or from James P. Scanlan unless otherwise indicated. In some cases, brief comments may appear after the document. If a document is listed, it is intended that it will eventually be posted. If a link is shown, it is already posted. It is intended that both the list of documents and the links will be periodically updated (which is why this page is maintained separately from the Prosecutorial Misconduct page).
The December 1, 1994 materials and most of the correspondence posted here are derived from electronic versions of those documents, which had been created in WordPerfect and have been imported into Microsoft Word then converted to PDF.The importing into Word often altered the formatting and pagination. In some cases, adjustments have been made and in other cases adjustments may eventually be made. But, as a result of the conversions, the formatting of certain documents may appear awkward and references to page numbers where a matter is elsewhere addressed in the same or other documents (as well as the tables of contents in the narrative appendixes) often will be off by some number of pages. Nevertheless, the advantages in time (including scanning, uploading, and downloading time) and space of posting these versions rather than scanned hard copies of the documents are substantial.Further, these versions may later be augmented by cross-referencing links.Similar considerations of convenience account for the fact that little in the way of attachments or exhibits to the posted material and pleadings or transcripts are currently posted.Ideally much of this material will be eventually posted, possibly in compressed format.
Because of the download time associated with certain scanned documents (as well as occasional problems with those downloads), some scanned documents have been converted to Word and the converted to pdf.As such they make contain some oddities or irregularities. But they are much easier to download and use.For example, the scanned version of Deanís Memorandum in support of the December 24, 1996 motion to dismiss the remainder of Count One is 1,046 kb, while the pdf crated from Word conversion of the scanned document is only 181 kb.Documents will typically be designated as ďconverted.ĒAs a rule, however, the scanned version will also be posted and, in any event, will be available to anyone who wants it.
Government Exhibit 25 (in form provided to the defense)
This is an important transcript with regard to the revealing of ways IC attorneys planned to misread Judge Gesellís order.I cannot find a copy of it, though had one at one point.See Profile of Jo Ann Harris and Part I of the DC Bar Counsel Complaint.

Letter from Arlin M. Adams to Donald E. Santarelli
